Callan Marine is comprised of a management team of nationally recognized dredging and marine construction experts with more than 200 years of combined large dredging experience. Our team has been designing and creating hallmark, industry-leading vessels for more than 40 years - with many of these vessels still in operation today across the globe. 


Callan Marine is a Texas-based, family-owned dredging business founded in 2009. We believe in relentless improvement in efficiency and effectiveness, guiding our fleet expansion and service lines. Executive Management

JOHN SULLIVAN
CEO/MANAGING PRINCIPAL

John is a founder and managing principal of Callan Marine with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry.  He earned a degree in Construction Management from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. Professionally, Mr. Sullivan serves on the Board of Directors for the Dredging Contractors of America and Disaster Recovery Contractors Association.

MAXIE MCGUIRE
PRESIDENT

Maxie serves as President of Callan Marine and is a 30-year veteran of the dredging industry. Maxie has worked with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, the Bean Companies, and was a small business owner after serving five years in the U.S. Air Force and Operation Desert Storm.  Maxie’s affiliations are WEDA Gulf Coast (past President), WEDA Safety Commission, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion.

MATT SITKA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Matt serves as Chief Financial Officer for Callan Marine. Matt has more than 15 years in the industrial services, dredging and marine construction sectors providing support to the petrochemical, refining, power generation, marine, public and government industries, in addition to my 4 years in public accounting.

FRANK BELESIMO
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

With over 27 years of experience in the dredging industry, Frank has a broad range of dredging experience with projects in the U.S. and Caribbean including capital improvement, environmental dredging, and marine drilling and blasting projects.  He holds a B.S. and a M.S. in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets.

ARIE VAN DEN ADEL
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - DREDGING DIVISION

Arie has served as a Dredging Operations Consultant since 2018 and is a 30-year veteran of the dredging industry.  He has managed a great variety of dredging projects around the globe and now serves as the COO at Callan Marine.

GREG HARNER
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - MARINE CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

A 36-year veteran of the construction and maritime industry, Harner brings experience in infrastructure development for deep-water seaports, port security, resort developments, marine terminals, cruise terminal facilities, and commercial building projects within the U.S. and Caribbean.

JORGE MARTINEZ
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - ACCOUNTING

Jorge serves as Senior Vice President of Accounting and is a 28-year veteran of the dredging industry.  He is a certified public accountant with over thirty years of direct experience in the accounting and management of construction and dredging companies.

MELANIE MOSLEY
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ADMINISTRATION

Melanie is the Vice President of Administration, where she is responsible for Health & Safety, Human Resources, and Administration. Starting her career out at the Bean Companies, she has worked in various administrative and safety management roles for over 20 years.

KEVIN PEARSE
VICE PRESIDENT, MARINE CONSTRUCTION

Kevin serves as Vice President of Operations and is a 28-year veteran of the dredging and marine construction industry having worked for Great Lakes Dredge & Dock, the Bean Companies, and the Orion Marine Group. His roles have included Project Engineer, Estimator, Superintendent, and Project Management. Kevin graduated from Louisiana State University in 1992 with a BS in General Business.

CHRIS DEARING - VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINGEERING

Chris is the Vice President of Engineering and brings extensive experience in the development and management of production and field engineering programs at some of the leading dredging companies in the nation. He will continue to lead the development and training of Callan’s engineering personnel assigned to field-based and office-based roles. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering.

TODD KNIGHT
VICE PRESIDENT, TECHNICAL

Todd is the Vice President of Technical and a 30-year veteran of the oil and gas and marine industries. He is responsible for all equipment, manages the repair and maintenance program, and special projects pertaining to future Callan Marine equipment. Todd’s experience dates back to his role as Chief Electrician on semi-submersible drilling rigs. He is well versed in PLC and VFD applications as well as extensive experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems in many different applications and configurations.

SARAH DEARING
VICE PRESIDENT OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Sarah is the Vice President of Quality Management Systems and is a 12-year veteran of the dredging industry beginning her career at Great Lakes Dredging and Dock. She has a BS in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University.

OLIVER JONES, VICE PRESIDENT OF MARINE CONSTRUCTION

Oliver Jones is the Vice President of Marine Construction and a 12-year veteran of the construction and maritime industry, with roles in design, project estimation, and senior project management. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

JOEY MALDONADO, VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATING

Joey is the Vice President of Marine Construction and a 25-year veteran of the construction and maritime industry. He has worked for Kingsley Constructors, Keystone Contractors, Orion Marine Group, and Russell Marine, serving as both a Project Estimator and Design Engineer. Joey graduated from Wharton College in 1999.
